L'Steinbeck va dir:

"Boileau said that Kings, Gods and Heroes only were fit subjects for literature. The writer can only write about what he admires. Present-day kings aren't very inspiring, the gods are on a vacation and about the only heroes left are the scientists and the poor."

però sembla que, si les coses segueixen així, n'hi haurà prou amb parlar sobre "the poor". Altrament, un científic, aquí, és un Heroï en tota regla, els Kings els deixem per menjar hamburgueses (o Crispy Chicken) i lo de Deu, vejam..., millor deixo l'exercici per al lector (pot ajudar-lo llegir-se Los tres primeros minutos del Universo).
